Andragonia
'Threshold', the new video from Brazilian progressive metal band Andragonia can be seen below:
The song comes off from Andragonia most recent album Memories (2012). Directed by Mess Santos, the video recording was supported by Movie3 with musical production made by Thiago Larenttes (Estúdio GR).

'Threshold' was inspired by the Brazilian movie “Nosso Lar”. In a interview, the band said “We just tried to not make the song sound like a religious song or trapped to the movie, but free, according to the belief and understanding of each. For the video, we tried to do something dark and heavy.”

Andragonia can be free downloaded in their official website in THIS LINK.

Flaming Lips
The Flaming Lips will release their thirteenth studio album titled, The Terror (2013), on April 2nd in the US and April 1st in Europe.

It is comprised of nine original compositions that reflect a darker-hued spectrum than previous works, along with a more inward-looking lyrical perspective than one might expect — but then again, maybe not. It’s up to you, the listener, to decide what it means to you.

Wayne Coyne explains, “Why would we make this music that is The Terror - this bleak, disturbing record? I don’t really want to know the answer that I think is coming. Maybe this is the beginning of the answer.”
The Terror is a bold and expressive journey that has evolved over The Lips’ nearly 30-year tended garden of sonic delights that ebbs and flows with extraordinary splashes of darkness and light, pleasure and pain, chaos and order. As we’ve come to know The Flaming Lips, the real beauty lies with the knowledge that to expect the unexpected is all part of the manic fun.

“If we have love, give love and know love,” Coyne says, “we are truly alive and if there is no love, there would be no life. The Terror, we know now, that even without love, life goes on…we just go on…There is no mercy killing.”

Track listing for the album:
1."Look…The Sun Is Rising"
2. "Be Free, A Way"
3. "Try To Explain"
4. "You Lust"
5. "The Terror"
6. "You Are Alone"
7. "Butterfly, How Long It Takes To Die"
8. "Turning Violent"
9. "Always There, In Our Hearts"

The Mars Volta

After six albums and more than 10 years, the Mars Volta have split. Singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala announced on Twitter that he is dissolving the band, blaming a lack of interest from guitarist and co-founder Omar Rodríguez-López.

"I can't sit here and pretend any more," Bixler-Zavala said. Though Mars Volta released an album in March 2012, they went on hiatus following that tour. "We're all doing different things," Rodríguez-López explained at the time. This week, the guitarist revealed the first music from his new project, Bosnian Rainbows.

"I tried my hardest to keep it going … but Bosnian Rainbows was what we all got instead," Bixler-Zavala tweeted. "A hiatus is just an insult to the fans … Omar did not want to [tour any more] … What am I suppose to do – be some progressive housewife [who is] cool with watching their partner go fuck other bands? … All I can do is move forward with my music and just be happy that Mars Volta ever happened at all."

It appears that Bixler-Zavala made this announcement without consulting the rest of the band. "Are we on break? This explains so much," tweeted sometime keyboard player Ikey Owens. After reading the announcement, he sent Bixler-Zavala a further message: "Hopefully one day we'll all get back together again."

Despite his Twitter ranting, Bizler-Zavala has insisted that he is "not angry" with Rodríguez-López: "I just wanted to be honest with the people who have allowed me to make a living playing music." But fans have been much less forgiving of the man who they blame for destroying the band. "Fuck Omar!" wrote one. While another added: "Omar, don't forget who got you where you are today … i think its safe to say, that you are now the enemy."

Rodríguez-López and Bixler-Zavala founded the Mars Volta in 2001, following the demise of their band At the Drive-In. Their heavy post-prog rock, informed by salsa and dub, proved an unlikely commercial success: with help from Flea, their some-time bassist, the Mars Volta sold more than 500,000 copies of their debut album, De-Loused in the Comatorium. All of their subsequent LPs reached No 15 or higher in the US, though they didn't fare as well in the UK.

With the end of the Mars Volta, Bixler-Zavala said he will now focus on his solo album, which sounds "nothing like" his previous recordings.

Coheed And Cambria
Coheed And Cambria have launched a video for their track 'The Dark Side Of Me'. View it below:
It’s taken from The Afterman: Descension (2013), part two of a double-album work, which was released last week.

Frontman Claudio Sanchez says the track cover the subject of “the duality of human nature.”

He explains: “It’s natural to try to hide the more sinister facets of ourselves from the people we care about – but to ever truly share a life with another person, that dark side needs to make its way out into the open.”
