Progressive rock trio Dream The Electric Sleep are currently in the studio recording the follow-up to 2014's Heretics (2014) (read review HERE). The band will be working alongside Grammy Award winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Mastodon) at Rock Falcon studios in Nashville, TN.
Regarding the band's third full-length album, vocalist/guitarist Matt Page says, “The material came together faster than we imagined, with a real passion and vision. The songs seem to capture something we have been striving for as a band since our first release. They feel more focused and tighter, with equal creative contributions from all three of us.”
On working with Raskulinecz, Page says, “Nick has produced some of the top rock albums of the past decade, and we are thrilled to be working and collaborating with him. We knew we needed to bring a creative visionary on board to really push us and the material to new places. We can’t wait to begin this creative process with Nick at the helm.”
On a recent Facebook post the band added: "We are getting some AMAZING sounds down here, and we are definitely gonna throw out some curve balls on this record.
Thank you SO much for your support over the years. It's starting to pay off...BIG TIME!"
The album is set for a Spring 2016 release.
