I was messing around on Spotify today and decided to make a new list for Progshine readers. A fun and curious fact for music aficionados and people that are curious about this kind of thing.
Previously I had already made a list on the old version of Progshine with songs that were over 30 minutes long (you can see them HERE if you don’t mind the Portuguese).
In that article many people questioned me about 70’s songs and this idea stuck on my mind for quite some time. That’s why I decided to do something similar with what I call ‘One Siders’.
What are those? Bands that released albums (on LP times) with only one long song that occupied the whole side of the record, sometimes, as you’ll see, even both sides.
This first part will have 10 names, stay tuned for the next part next week. I’m planning to make it in 3 parts, maybe more depending on how much input and help I’ll have from you, the readers. Just for you to know, no particular order was used for the list.
A reminder. If you don’t have an account on Spotify, first, you should have, second you’ll not be able to listen to the songs (sorry). If you want to create an account go HERE - http://spotify.com/, if you don’t want to create an account you can try to find the songs on Youtube or Grooveshark, good hunting.
Also, some songs aren’t available on Spotify, so for now, they’re out.
Enjoy!
Edit: We published a part 2 RIGHT HERE.
