Little Atlas - New Album

The north american band Little Atlas is recording a new album, according to a post on their Facebook page all of the new songs are already written and about half of them have final drum tracks recorded. They're now working on the bass recordings. And according to band this album will be quite different than anything they have done before.

And if you guys didn't hear about they last free download here's the a little piece of advice. Little Atlas has a Live DVD as FREE DOWNLOAD their label page.

Riverside - New Album

A post on the band website give us a bit of light on their new album: Shrine Of New Generation Slaves (2013). The official release date is January 21st, 2013 and will be available in four different formats: digital, 1CD jewelcase, 2CDs mediabook and 2LP vinyl. The bands fifth album has The cover and the tracklist available on the same post, Shrine Of New Generation Slaves (2013) have 8 songs between 4 and 12 minutes.

The special version of the album will be a 32-page mediabook on the 2CD edition and the author of the art booklets is Travis Smith, the vinyl edition will contain 2 bonus tracks. Shrine Of New Generation Slaves (2013) will be released by Century Media/Inside Out worldwide, and by Mystic Production in Poland.

Rush - New Interview

Warner Music posted on Youtube an interview with Rush's vocalist and bass player Geddy Lee.

The main topic on this 20 minutes interview is their new studio album Clockwork Angels (2012).

Geddy Lee talks about the concept behind the album, about the production, the new tour and much more.

Renaissance - RIP

Michael Dunford, composer and guitarist of the English band Renaissance passed away on November 20, 2012. He had just returned home from the first leg of the band’s North American tour and suffered a massive Instantaneous Cerebral Hemorrhage while dining at his home in Surrey, England Monday night. He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared his condition irreversible and terminal. He passed away at 11:06 pm GMT, surrounded by his family without having regained consciousness.

The musician had finished the recordings of their new album Grandine Il Vento that will be released in early 2013.

Michael Dunford is survived by his wife Clare, two sons William (13) and Oliver (10), and sister Judy Kendall.

La Maschera Di Cera - New Album

The Italian band leaded by bassist Fabio Zuffanti La Maschera Di Cera will release a new album in January 15 2013.

The album will be called Le Porte Del Domani (2013) and will be released by AMS Records.

The album will be available in the following versions: Gatefold papersleeve CD sung in Italian. Gatefold papersleeve CD sung in English (title: The Gates Of Tomorrow).  Gatefold LP (in Italian) with different mix. Autographed deluxe box with the two CD, the LP and a reproduction of the cover in plaxiglas. Japanese edition double CD with bonus tracks.

The first single is called 'La Guerra Dei Mille Anni' and there's a videoclip for it:

The North American Fusion/Prog label Moonjune Records are now on Bandcamp: www.moonjunerecords.bandcamp.com

Devin Townsend - New Album + New DVD

Guitar virtuoso and music genius Devin Townsend recently released his latest CD Epicloud (2013) under the slogan: "It's Epic, It's Loud, It's Epicloud". His highly praised 15th solo album came out this year in September.

And today finally sees the premiere of Devin's new video for the track 'Lucky Animals', off of the new album Epicloud (2013). The video was created on the basis of combining all sorts of amazing and outstanding self-recorded videos that were submitted by Devin fans from all over the world, to make "Lucky Animals" a very special visual experience for everyone. More than 150 videos were submitted, out of which a good 130 made it into the video in the end (due to quality or legal issues some could not be used unfortunately).

Also, Devin Townsend just played to a completely packed out Roundhouse in London on October 27th, wrapping up most of his entire career in a more than 3 hour-long set. Narrated by Steve Vai on three big video screens, accompanied by Baby-Ziltoid, Jed Simon, Anneke van Giersbergen, to name but a few, and all that alongside all sorts of actors, animals and other performers. For those who didn't make it to the show and also missed to witness the live-stream of the event, this spectacle was filmed and will be available on DVD and Blu-ray later in 2013 so watch out for more info on this!

Headspace - New Album

A post on their Facebook states that a new album is coming together:
'As 2013 approaches fast, we're busy beavering away at some new material, working towards the follow up album to I Am Anonymous (2013).

The schedules of the individual members of Headspace was always going to make live shows somewhat few and far between, but we're getting some really enthusiastic agents seeing if we're available for festivals in 2013. As of yet, we can't commit but we will definitely be squeezing in a few shows, perhaps surprise slots at a festival or too, and maybe, we'll come back to some of the Countries we played on the Anonymous Visions tour.

Can we be more vague?  Probably not..
Can we give dates when you can come see us? Not right now..
Are we actually going to release another album and play any shows? Most definitely.

There will be some more "less" vague information coming...er... soon. That's for bearing with us..... All good things come to those who wait!

Spock's Beard - New Album

The preorder for the next Spock's Beard CD has begun! The band is now taking preorders for a Limited Edition of their 11th studio CD. Target delivery date for the Limited Edition is March 01, 2013

According the band the proceeds from this preorder are a necessary part of the funding required to put out a quality product!

The title of the CD is Brief Nocturnes And Dreamless Sleep (2013) and will be shipped as a main disc plus a bonus disc. This privately released Limited Edition will contain an additional bonus track and some extra booklet pages that will not be on the InsideOut release in April.

Notice that there are more preorder options this time, one of which is a digital download. There are also some more expensive packages offered that are quite unique and may be highly interesting to some of you.

Big Big Train - New Album

The second part of Big Big Train's story has a release date and name!

English Electric Part Two (2013) will be released in March 4th according to a band's post on Facebook.

They also posted the cover of the album (as you can see in the left).
There's not much info yet but if it delivers the same quality as English Electric Part One (2012) we can expect a high quality album.
