News: King Crimson Release Live Box From 2015 Tour

King Crimson's new live Boxset includes footage from their UK, Canada and Japan tours last year.

King Crimson will release a new boxset called Radical Action To Unseat The Hold Of Monkey Mind on September 2 via Burning Shed.

This massive collection is a comprehensive and immersive account of the 2015 live incarnation of the band. It will be available as a 3CD/1Blu-Ray set, and also in a limited edition 3CD/2DVD/1Blu-Ray version.

The content in both versions are:

- Three CDs presented as individually themed 'virtual studio albums' with no audible audience - featuring a representative example of every song/piece performed by King Crimson on its 2015 tours of the UK, Canada and Japan.

- Two DVDs featuring a complete filmed concert performance in stereo and 5.1 surround

- Blu-Ray featuring a complete filmed concert performance in high-resolution stereo and 5.1 surround audio. Also contains 'picture off' mode, allowing the music to be heard independently in pristine, lossless audio (24/48khz as per original recordings).

- Expanded, perfect bound 36 page booklet with additional tour photos.

Also all copies of the box come with an exclusive postcard featuring the striking ‘cyclops’ cover artwork.

The box features King Crimson in their new 3-drums incarnation with Pat Mastelotto (drums), Bill Rieflin (drums, keyboards), Gavin Harrison (drums), Mel Collins (saxophone, flute), Tony Levin (bass, Chapman Stick), Jakko Jakszyk (guitar, vocals) and Robert Fripp (guitar, keyboards).

The official statemene from their label DGM said:

“How about a full live album gathering together the complete King Crimson setlist compiled from numerous nights and selected performances? In response to overwhelming demand for video of the group’s shows, the multi-disc set will come with selected in-concert footage.”
